Plantation Barbados 5 Year Old Rum is produced by Plantation Rum, a brand owned by the French company Cognac Ferrand. The distillery is located in Barbados, where the rum is aged for a minimum of five years in ex bourbon casks. After this initial aging, the rum is transported to the Cognac region of France for further maturation in Pierre Ferrand Cognac casks. This unique double aging process imparts the rum with a rich and complex flavor profile.
